ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Lena. I’ve always been fascinated by how the mind works.
But like many, I took a different path first, working as a scientist and then teaching Biology for over 25 years. I led a Science department in Latvia and have spent the last 17 years teaching in England, including 12+ years at one of the UK’s top grammar schools.
Through my work with students, teachers, and communities, especially through CPD training and one-to-one support, I saw just how deeply mental wellbeing impacts every part of life.
That’s why I retrained in something I’ve been passionate about for years: hypnotherapy and psychotherapy.

I now hold a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy, along with certifications in modern hypnotherapy methods. I’ve seen first-hand how these tools can create incredible shifts, whether on adventurous trips I’ve led in Nepal and Cambodia, or in everyday breakthroughs in the therapy room.
Here at From Fears to Freedom, you’ll find a safe, compassionate, and empowering space to let go of anxiety, phobias, and emotional blocks, learn to trust yourself socially, professionally, and personally. I will help you calm racing thoughts and gain clarity in decision-making, strengthen your resilience, and give you tools to create lasting change through learning self-hypnosis.
